Iowa inmate population declines

Iowa has been slowly dropping their inmate numbers from last year. Having gone to the ICA Convention last week, I can tell you personally that Iowa's corrections professionals really care about what they do and it shows.   

"We had a lot of people coming in and we're trying to get people out more quickly," said Corrections spokesman Fred Scaletta. "The parole board is doing a good job of getting people out into the community."
